Esto de Juntar Flores (2025)
Digital Video with sound, 10:00
Esto de Juntar Flores (10 min) is a short film that explores the love for flowers and the desire to collect them, tracing the expansion of the Dutch tulip industry into Chile. Shot in the Flowering Desert, in Lisse and Hoorn (the Netherlands), and including footage from the Tulip Day in Chile in 2024, the film investigates how certain Dutch colonial values persist today through neoliberal extractivist practices in Chile. At the same time, it reflects on the experience of migratory displacement and long-distance affections, guided by conversations between the filmmaker and her father.
